Aft - Fitting Out
Two pieces of framing were planed and fitted either side for the top of the aft tank to rest on.

The plywood top of the aft tank was planed to shape - a process involving a great many iterations.

Before the plywood top can be fitted the skeg needs to be fixed, floors attached to frame D, fillets for the thwarts attached to frame D and the transom strengthened for the transom pintle and gudgeon.

The aft tank was filled with closed cell foam. Blocks of foam were made from 2 part polyurethane foam and cut to shape with a knife. The foam could just have been poured into the aft tank but this would make it more difficult to carry out any major repairs that might be needed over the lifetime of the boat.
